About Chava Bloom
“What are we doing here, in this world? What’s my purpose?”
“What is the best, most optimal way to live, that will bring the most goodness into the world?”
“What will bring me closer to God? How do I truly embody the Torah that I learn?”
This is what my life has been focused around... and it’s what I explore through my writings and teachings.
“May HaShem bless Mrs. Bloom to be able to continue to share her beautiful Torah with the world, and may we all merit entering the world of the Hebrew letters and bringing the world closer to Geulah.”
- Rabbi Zvi Leshem, PhD.
My Story…
I grew up in Silver Spring Maryland, graduating from the University of Maryland with a BA in English in the early 70’s. Married in 1973, I raised six children while studying and teaching in Jerusalem’s Old City—leading seminars, counselling and teaching classes to tourists and students.
Later, living in Costa Rica, Florida, Ramat Beit Shemesh and now the lower Galil, I’ve continued to study, write, and teach. And to grow.
My life is about growing closer to God and growing closer to my soul core, my Tzelem Elokim (Godly image). And that growth happens when we choose to bring spiritual light into the world and act on that choice. Perhaps that’s why of all the workshops that I lead, my favorites are “Finding Our Purpose,” and “Elul Preparation.”
While I teach, mentor and write, I’ve also found time to be a…
Wife, mother and grandmother
Marriage and Family Counselor
Massage and Healing Touch Therapist
Spiritual seeker
Optimistic lover of life and committed believer in the triumph of God’s good over evil
My particular interests are the inner lights of Torah, Kabbalah, and the archetypal Feminine
And I love hiking in the woods and just sitting and watching the sunset! As you’ll see, all these parts of me weave throughout my writings and teachings. Read what others have said about my new book, “Letters from God: the Alphabet of Creation”.

Some of the questions you may be asking are questions I’ve asked… and found answers to. I try to teach them clearly so that they’re accessible to everyone.
“As a late comer to Jewish learning I'm so fortunate to be learning together with Chava Bloom. The depth of her knowledge is impressive, as she has dedicated herself to studying and researching various topics of Judaism for many years. I am grateful to Chava for being such a wise and passionate guide.”

“Letters from God”
“Letters from God” explores the deeper—often mystical—meanings of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each letter is a personal message, a “handwritten letter” from God, clarifying who we are, what we’re doing here, and how we can build a loving relationship with the Holy One. “Letters from God” delves into the physics of the spiritual universe that underlies all existence.
